Elliot C. Way

Elliot C Way is a seeker, a dreamer, and a searcher for the truth. His obsession with music is all-consuming and it bleeds into every aspect of his life. His songs are life lessons learned the hard way and he has fought for every single word. His gritty and soulful voice is raw and deep with emotion and can shake you to the core. When he sings we listen, for here is a man who has lived many lives and is bearing the weight of it all. Nothing is withheld, he has and always will wear his heart on his sleeve. In late 2019 right before the world stopped, Way and his band (Matt Kelly, Leon Power, Erik P.H. Nielson, and John Sponarski) spent a week recording in his then home Old Man Mountain, a little shack on a hill in the farm country of his home town of Langley BC., sculpting heartfelt and personal folk songs into cosmic funky grooves that help tell the stories as much as the words do. In every song, there is a little bit of Townes, Waylon, Kristofferson, Dylan, and Springsteen. There’s nothing separating Way from his music and his dreams but the everyday struggles to stay afloat in this sinking world. In these often-confusing days, Way is a lighthouse, a beacon of light illuminating a way back to a simpler time. Way is known around as the Vibe King; Boogie Vans, his wolf-dog (Emmylou), and 70’s clothing make up his persona, but to truly know the man you must know his music and his songs for this is where he lays it all on the line.
