LOS TIGRES DEL NORTE

One of the most popular and influential bands in the history of Latin music, Los Tigres del Norte have been superstars for six decades -selling over 40 Million albums worldwide, while notching 24 #1 albums and more than 50 #1 singles. Los Tigres Del Norte have WON more GRAMMY AWARDS (Seven) than any other Spanish Language recording artist, and was recently named “The Top Regional Mexican Group Of All-Time” by Billboard. The band has also received countless Platinum records and numerous additional awards - including multiple LATIN GRAMMYS, the Latin Recording Academy’s Lifetime achievement Award, The California Hall of Fame, and The Hispanic Heritage “Legends” Award at The Kennedy Center. Even after an unrivaled 50+ year career, Los Tigres continues to be at the forefront of Latin music popularity – still performing regularly throughout the US, Central and Latin America to audiences up to 100,000+ a night, releasing chart topping albums and singles, and continually blazing new trails for their music.

A combination of the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Clash and Bruce Springsteen for the Latin community, the band is often called “The Voice of the People”. They consistently speak out on issues of importance to their community—such as immigration, racism, migrant workers, LGBTQ inclusiveness and much more. Special milestones for the band have included: headlining Mexico’s historic bicentennial celebration for over 200,000 people, the first MTV Unplugged album dedicated to the Regional Mexican genre, receiving a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, headlining a major immigration rally for thousands on the Mall in Washington DC, and bringing Regional Mexican music to new and wider audiences with the genre’s first-ever headlining appearances at The Hollywood Bowl, Walt Disney Music Hall (home of the LA Philharmonic), and numerous performing arts centers around the country.
