The grand finale of a long-running live storytelling competition. Ten of Vancouver's best writers and performers tell original stories and compete for the title of 2024 Story Slam Champion.

Founded in 2004, Vancouver Story Slam is the longest-running live storytelling event of its kind in Canada - and the second-longest-running in the world! Throughout the year, over 100 people sign up to share their original tales live onstage. Audience members vote for their favourite stories; top storytellers are invited to participate in this, the annual championship. Over $2,000 in cash prizes are awarded annually.

This is not a children's show. The stories presented in this show are not prescreened or censored, and may include adult language or references to controversial or sensitive topics. Listener discretion is advised.

Vancouver Story Slam is produced by CBC Literary Prize winner Susan Cormier and hosted by two-time Storytelling Champion Bryant Ross.

Patrons requiring accessible seating should purchase the accessible seating marked on the seat map. Please reach out to accessibility@themrggroup.com for any special arrangements needed at the venue or if you require companion seating.
