A Juno Award-winning indie rock ensemble from Vancouver, British Columbia, Said the Whale specialize in melodic twists and turns peppered with quirky yet bittersweet musings that reflect a climate prone to overcast days. Led by dual songwriters/vocalists Ben Worcester and Tyler Bancroft, the band emerged in 2007 with a pair of well-received EPs, employing a quirky folk-pop sound that evoked contemporaries like Arkells and Wintersleep.

He has secured a firm place in the pop universe with his unique sound, that he credits to the city in which he grew up in. He has worked with the singer songwriter Julia Minkin on multiple songs and albums including &quot;Play Me Again&quot;, &quot;Lovers&quot;, and &quot;With Julia&quot;.

Billy Howerdel has been putting the finishing touches on his debut solo album. A preview from the forthcoming collection was shared last month with the release of “Poison Flowers”. BBC Rock Radio 1’s Daniel P. Carter said: “If you’re a huge fan of A Perfect Circle, you’re gonna love it hands down. Has shades of A Perfect Circle in there but also a lot of his early influences really coming through like The Cure, Depeche Mode, Echo &amp; the Bunnymen. Solid!”  Loudwire said “Howerdel paints a haunting visual with a dark palette,” Guitar World commented that “the A Perfect Circle man has channeled his early influences&amp;hellip; which treads a line between Pink Floyd and Nine Inch Nails,” and Revolver described the five-and-a-half minute song as “an ethereal, brooding and intensely stark creeper with gothic vocals and oodles of atmospheric textures.”
 
Billy Howerdel has perhaps one of rock music’s most well-rounded and interesting resumes. Growing up in West Milford, New Jersey, he spent hours listening to WLIR emanating out of Long Island, New York. Lying in bed, he would scribble down playlists and then scout out the records he loved in stores, among them The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, Dead Kennedys, and Elvis Costello. However, it was the experience of seeing Pink Floyd at Giants Stadium that triggered his lust for finding a way to work in the music industry.
 
Howerdel initially racked up experience in stage lighting, working for almost any band or theater production that would ask, while at the same time devoting the rest of his free time to practicing guitar. A few years of work led to a chance meeting with Fishbone, a move west and quickly becoming a sought-after road and studio tech, working with David Bowie, Guns N’ Roses, Nine Inch Nails, and oh yeah, being roommates with Tool’s Maynard James Keenan. It was that friendship that birthed the multi-platinum alternative rock supergroup, A Perfect Circle.

Joshua Bassett may sing, write, act, and play multiple instruments, but he humbly identifies himself as &ldquo;just a kid from San Diego who loves music.&rdquo; Long before starring in a Disney+ original series, generating millions of streams, and garnering widespread acclaim, he grew up surrounded by music in Oceanside, CA. He played drums in church, taught himself ukulele, guitar, and piano, and wrote his first song for his homecoming date at 15. In addition to being homeschooled alongside his five sisters, he strengthened his voice in local theater productions. Bassett landed the lead role of Ricky in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series in 2019 and soon thereafter signed with Warner Records, unveiling his solo debut &ldquo;Common Sense&rdquo; in 2020. That laid the foundation for his blockbuster 2021, which brought his self-titled debut EP, viral hit &ldquo;Feel Something,&rdquo; and &ldquo;Crisis / Secret / Set Me Free&rdquo; &mdash; a trio of emotional tracks that raised money for mental health organizations including a donation of $20K from Bassett himself. Those releases lifted his total global streams to more than 280M. His winning ways continue in 2022 with the release of &ldquo;Doppelg&auml;nger,&rdquo; his feature film debut Better Nate Than Ever, as well as the announcement of his first headlining tour, which takes him across North America and Europe.

Over a few years, the musician, film score composer and multiple times award-winner (Victoires de la Musique, Césars, Lumières...) has become a compelling artist and a symbol for intercultural dialogue, to the point where he was chosen to play the national anthem in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, on July 14th, 2021, the performance was broadcasted on national TV for 6 million viewers. Once again where you least expected him, with his 16th album Capacity to Love, Ibrahim Maalouf wants to make an impression with brand new, surprising, and innovative popular music.
