"A member of the Miami crew Smart Stunnas, rapper Pouya hit big with his debut solo single, 2013's ""Get Buck."" The track originally appeared on the Smart Stunnas tape Baby Bone, then it caught fire as a solo cut when it was uploaded to the Web. After it had reached a million views, Pouya dropped his Stunna mixtape, then the South Side Slugs mixtape followed in 2015 as the track had passed two million views. The count was three million when the MC made his official debut in 2016 with the Underground Underdog album. A bevy of new singles continued to drop, and by the beginning of 2017 Pouya and fellow Miami rapper Fat Nick had completed an album together called Drop Out of School. Released in March of that year, the album made a Top Ten showing on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. By the end of that year, Pouya had already begun issuing singles from his next album, Five Five, which appeared in early 2018. ~ David Jeffries
