Join us for an unforgettable, conversation-style fundraiser with internationally acclaimed Palestinian comedian Mo Amer and Canada’s first hijab-wearing news anchor, Ginella Massa. Together, they’ll explore what it means to break barriers—unpacking Mo’s powerful journey from growing up as a stateless refugee to becoming the first Palestinian to headline his own Netflix special. Mo will share his most memorable moments and toughest challenges of writing, starring in, and directing—bringing the first-ever Palestinian story to life on the world’s largest platform.
As we gather to honour Palestinian culture and resilience through powerful storytelling, community advocacy, and a live Dabke performance by Al Asala Dabke Group, we’ll be raising funds throughout the evening to support Glia’s medical aid efforts in Palestine—ensuring doctors, clinics, and essential care remain accessible amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
