Marlon Craft is a hip-hop artist from Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. Craft’s career began with a strong presence in the underground scene through various viral freestyles and mixtapes before emerging with his debut album, Funhouse Mirror, in 2019. The son of a jazz musician and the product of Manhattan Plaza, a legendary Section 8 housing complex in NY where artists are given government assisted housing, Craft’s work is known for his fresh live instrumentation, top-tier lyricism, vulnerability, and sociopolitical commentary. In 2020, after releasing his debut album through Same Plate Entertainment, Craft went back completely independent and started The Center, a subscription-based exclusive community for his core fans to directly fund his work. In the following years, Craft would become an independent behemoth by releasing various projects and mixtapes, culminating in the 2023 album “While We’re Here” which amassed over 100 million streams independently.

Marlon took the next few years to finish his opus, “The Internet Killed The Neighborhood”, which released on April 2nd 2026. In an era that pressures and prioritizes microwave work, Marlon dedicated himself to cultivating this album between 2020-2026 - he began work on it while releasing other projects, and took the last two years to focus on it entirely. The album is a distillation of all of Marlon’s musical influences over the years, an intersection of hip-hop, soul, jazz, funk, etc. with much live instrumentation (horns, strings, and more). It explores themes of what the internet and technology have done to the community, and Marlon’s own growth into true adulthood as a millennial man negotiating those contexts. In February of this year, Marlon was featured as a part of On The Radar’s “New Class” Cypher to much virality and acclaim.

Between 2025 and 2026 Marlon also formed a band of some of the top musicians in NY and held a residency at Nublu in NYC’s East Village. To date they have done 10 shows in 14 months, sold over 2000 tickets, had guests from Method Man to Julius Rodriguez to Reuben Vincent, and fostered a continually growing community of musicians, vocalists, and fans alike. Marlon continues to build communities online and in person as “The Internet Killed The Neighborhood” receives acclaim and continues to grow in the consciousness of the culture.
