The character of La India Yuridia is played by the Monterrey comedian Perla Yuridia Ruiz Castro, who began imitating the famous India María (María Elena Velasco). 
Perla Yuridia's birthday is August 28 and this 2023 she reaches 40 years of age. She was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León. 
The also standup and youtuber defines herself as a feminist and her character has the same meaning. Her routines, her jokes and monologues, consist of mocking everyday situations invaded by sexism. Perla is married and a mother, elements that she uses to create her shows, in addition to the relationship of years that her parents have and the way in which her female friends and relatives live in today's society. 
Perla Yuridia made her comedian debut in Chis Chas Chou, a comedy project in 1997, when she was just 14 years old. That same year she was studying singing at the National Association of Actors (ANDA). 
It was precisely during one of her classes when she was discovered by the comedian from Monterrey Jesús González Leal, better known as Chis Chas, who invited her to his show. 
She is currently considered one of the most outstanding comedians in Mexico, also in 2022 she was a judge on the reality show of Televisa in Mexico and Univision in the United States &quot;El Retador&quot; and today she is a judge on the successful American reality show &quot;Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento&quot;. 
Yuridia, unlike many comedians who plan their presentations, she works differently maintaining a style of spontaneity to talk about motherhood, marriage and other situations that many Mexican women live, so each of her shows are always different because from one moment to another you can come up with a joke that she simply says to entertain the public, Although when she is on tour if she gets to have something much more planned. 
At the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, &quot;La India Yuridia&quot; took throughout the Mexican Republic her show &quot;Es lo que hay&quot; that had a tremendous success in several cities of the country, she also celebrated that her YouTube channel had achieved more than 500 thousand subscribers for those moments and that all her videos achieved more than 1 million views, even reaching up to 3 million. 
Already by 2022 it is consolidated by making an extensive tour of presentations throughout Mexico, the United States and for the first time stepping on Central and South American soil, a tour that continues this 2023
