JAY B
JAY B is the leader and main vocalist of the seven-member boy group GOT7. He originally debuted in 2012 alongside JINYOUNG as part of the duo JJ Project, and later debuted with GOT7 on January 16, 2014, under JYP Entertainment, with their first mini album Got it?.
He launched his solo career with the EP SOMO: FUME on August 21, 2021, followed by a collaboration with JUNNY on the song “nostalgia”, which has since become his most-streamed track with over 18.6 million streams. His second EP, Be Yourself, released on September 21, 2022, topped the iTunes charts in 34 countries and regions.
Through his first solo world tour in 2022, JAY B showcased his global influence across Korea, Asia, Europe, and South America. Beyond music, he’s also made strides in broadcasting and advertising, including campaigns with Adidas Originals (2021), VOGUE, and Numero Thailand. As a singer-songwriter, he continues to write music for both GOT7 and his solo projects under the name Def.
Though GOT7 parted ways with JYP Entertainment in January 2021, the group remains active while pursuing individual careers. JAY B is currently signed with Mauve, the same label as JUNNY.
