Artist Bios:

 

Hyroglifics

 

Hyroglifics has an unflinching dexterity on stage turning his hand from tender musicality to dance floor-charged heavy hitters with a rare and enviable finesse. This is an artist with a sharp and distinctive sonic identity, completely at home in drum & bass but just as comfortable outside of it.

 

He demonstrated his ability to sculpt his sound into exciting new shapes, ranging from hard-hitting hip-hop beats to soothing, emotional productions. Beyond his mettle in the studio, there’s a reason why Hyroglifics is highly sought-after.

 

In 2023, Hyroglifics is all gas and no brakes. Over the past decade, Hyroglifics has proven his place and further developed his musical voice with each passing year, an inimitable artist with an undeniably promising future ahead.

 

Levrige

Levrige is the partnership of J.F.Killah and Erski. Their music can be defined as drum'n'bass crossed with west coast bass. Since their inception in 2016, they have kept a steady release schedule while making time to throw down at all your favourite BC events. Both bring their unique style mixed with their undeniable chemistry, they are sure to throw down everytime.

 

Phulla

Phulla has been pushing that underground UK Garage and DnB sound since arriving in Victoria. His founding of @hundredhz has created intimate and unique events for the next generation of ravers craving a faster sound. His Capital Ballroom debut is guaranteed to bring that same dance floor heat with original productions and an arsenal of dubplates.

 

Dirtsqrl

Dirtsqrl is a Vancouver Island based producer, DJ and community leader. His sets lean toward deep, moody sounds, with a healthy focus on Halftime, DNB, 140, and other bass heavy music. His productions tend to be brooding and emotive, exploring the liminal space between light and darkness. As founder of Lamplit he has created a truly unique community gathering and contributed to amazing event productions across BC.
