Hailing from Lebanese roots and born in Western Sydney, YAGKI is an alternative rock artist with pop sensibilities who transforms personal survival into her music.

After overcoming a childhood coma, navigating a disadvantaged upbringing, and leaving home at 16 years old, YAGKI’s music explores the framework of how your origins don’t have to shape your future.

Following the successful release of her debut EP 'Nightmare' to a rapidly growing international following of 'Yappers', YAGKI relocated to Los Angeles in December 2025.

As a recipient of the Sony Foundation Scholarship, in partnership with Youth of the Streets, YAGKI’s voice has been widely embraced by the industry and music community.

In an effort to be a beacon that an environment grown up in doesn't dictate ones future, YAGKI has remained a dedicated advocate for mental health and voice for disadvantaged youth.

in 2025 YAGKI founded 'Sarah's Space', an initiative aimed at providing accessibility to free live music to those under 18 years old living out of home or in public housing and her recent partnership with Beyond Blue at her headline show at the Oxford Art Factory (Aus) raised over $1,000 for suicide prevention.

Her tracks have earned support from Rolling Stone, triple j Unearthed, and MTV Upload, as well as outlets like The Music and Tone Deaf. From the suburbs of Sydney to the heart of Los Angeles, YAGKI continues to prove that resilience is the ultimate creative force.
