Tiana Major9

Tiana Major9 is a London-born singer-songwriter from Newham who started singing in church at five, raised on her Jamaican roots and shaped by D'Angelo, Stevie Wonder, and Amy Winehouse.

Her stage name is a nod to the major 9th chord, the jazz harmony that gives her R&B-soul-jazz fusion its signature warmth. After her 2019 debut EP Rehearsal @ NINE and her Stormzy "Rainfall" feature, she broke through with "Collide" alongside EARTHGANG — a Grammy-nominated cut from the Queen & Slim soundtrack that spent 26 weeks on Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay chart. Since then she's collaborated with Lucky Daye, Babyface, Bryson Tiller, Smino, Kelis, and Unknown T, toured with Adele and Jazmine Sullivan, and crossed 200 million streams worldwide.

On February 13, 2026, she released her long-awaited debut album November Scorpio — an independently released, Valentine's-weekend project that includes "Alone," "Money," "Shook One" (a reimagining of Mobb Deep's "Shook Ones Pt II"), and "Always" featuring Yebba. She returned to NPR's Tiny Desk in person in spring 2026 with Keyon Harrold for a six-song set drawn from the album.
