Sport Mode

Sport Mode is a house DJ from Victoria BC who brings heavy yet melodic beats to the dance floor. In 2023 she played Song and Surf music festival and the after-party stage at Sunfest, and holds a residency in the projection room at Vancouver's renowned Fox Cabaret. Sport Mode is the electronic moniker for Claire Butterfield, who has held many forms in Victoria's music scene for the better part of two decades. She was a founding member of the alt-folk trio Fox Glove, and has recorded and performed with many other acts over the years including Aidan Knight and Sam Weber. She directs The Village Choir with Oliver Swain, which has quickly become one of Victoria's most sought-after choral ensembles. As a DJ she is heavenly influenced by the likes of Peggy Gou, Solomun, and Fred Again.., and face-melting bass lines and heart-melting melodies are the name of her game.
