Paradise Vultures
Paradise Vultures has existed in various iterations since 2017, when multi-instrumentalist Tommy Senter released the project’s first EP, Gourmet Carrion. After various lineup changes, Tommy Senter (lead vox / bass) and Matty Barreca (drums) decided to permanently trim the lineup down to the dirty, doomy desert disco duo they are today. A powerhouse of rhythmic synergy and undeniable chemistry, both onstage and in the studio, the gruesome twosome of Senter and Barreca prove time and time again that less is more. Known for their engaging, dynamic live shows, Paradise Vultures has been lauded as “one of the most unique bands in the heavy-rock space, blending doom and gloom with hip-shaking rhythms and insatiable grooves.” (Matt King, Coachella Valley Independent)
The duo's debut, independent LP, Born to Lose, was released in November, 2025. Written in the immediate aftermath of the tragic and harrowing loss of a lifelong parental figure to ALS, Born to Lose is a body of work just as complex as the grief and existential chaos that inspired it. The album is a 13-track odyssey of self-loathing, self-destruction, and, ultimately, self-discovery. Produced and mixed by Phil English (Biffy Clyro; St. Paul and the Broken Bones; Tank and the Bangas) at Eldorado Studios (Alice in Chains, Dirt; The Offspring, Americana; My Chemical Romance, The Black Parade) and featuring award-winning music videos directed by Ed Shiers (Papa Roach, Convey) and Nathan Cox (Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age, Marilyn Manson).
The duo’s sophomore album began production in late 2025 at Dave Catching’s legendary Rancho de la Luna Studio in Yucca Valley, CA, which has birthed legendary records from bands such as Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal, Arctic Monkeys, Iggy Pop, and countless others. The album, produced by Matt Cerritos (Holy Wars, Mr. Bungle) is completing supplemental production at Jeff Friedl’s Secret Hand Studios in Van Nuys, CA, and is expected to release in the second half of 2026.
