new release ‘sea to sky’ with emancipator came together after a conversation about their shared interests and appreciation of house music. collaborating remotely by recording live and sending parts back and forth they soon built a piece that carries the hallmarks of both their production styles as well as a good deal of curve balls and easter eggs setting it aside from your average club cut and making for a unique listen. musically it’s more experimental than many dance tracks - ghostly vocals give rise to swirling guitars and a hypnotic house beat. balancing a dense yet nuanced blend of energy and atmosphere and incorporating a unique array of instruments including piano, guitar, kalimba, and even live folk influenced violin by label mate lapa.
