Matilda Duncan

Twenty-three year old indie singer-songwriter, Matilda Duncan, is known for crafting lyrically-focused music with a diverse range of influences. Growing up in a musical family, there’s a recognisably country-folk streak to her lyrics despite the reverb-soaked, soaring guitars and synth-scapes they soar with.

With the help of Triple J, Matilda won a supporting slot on platinum-selling Australian rock band The Rubens northern leg of their national tour in high school, beginning her musical career at just seventeen. Following shortly after, Matilda was invited to play Groovin’ the Moo Festival, boasting headliner, Billie Eilish.

The young artist has cemented herself as one to watch, having supported, toured with and performed alongside some of Australian music’s biggest names - Vera Blue, Thirsty Merc, Katie Noonan, The Rubens, Kim Churchill and more. By June 2023 she completed 2 independently organised interstate tours, while balancing recording internationally with acclaimed producer Nash Chambers.

In 2025 Matilda release her fifth studio single, “10 Seconds of Silence”, a co-write collaboration with the song’s producer, Cameron Nacson. During 2024 she relocated to Melbourne and has continued to write and perform. With more releases on the way and a long-awaited debut EP to come, 2025 is shaping up to be monumental for Matilda.
