Internet Girl have become one of the more unlikely underground success stories to emerge from South Africa's alternative scene. Since breaking through with the wiry, hyperactive single "PULL UP" in 2024—a song now slated for the NBA 2K27 soundtrack—the trio have carved out a lane where indie sleaze, rap, post-punk, and internet culture collapse into something distinctly their own. Their debut album, YES, arriving at the end of 2026, is their sharpest distillation of that world yet, featuring collaborations with Kenny Mason and Ledbyher. The release coincides with the band's first headline run across the United States, alongside UK, European, and South African dates, marking the biggest step yet for a group whose cult following has steadily outgrown the internet that first embraced them.
