Writing music is when I am the most honest - which I suppose is strange given that those listening are, for the most part, the ones I know the least. But now and then I meet someone who listens to my music and I’m struck with the realization that we understand each other in a way that is actually quite profound. These people are lovers, they’re heartbroken, and they’re inspired. They’re hungry to hear their stories told back to them in new ways, they’re deep thinkers, and they really know me. My music is quite like them - it’s vulnerable, authentic, and open hearted.

I write about love of all kinds, loss, understanding yourself, and the growing pains of life - and I do it all with live instruments - acoustic guitar and pedal steele being my favorites. I want my music to transport you to your childhood bedroom, to the forest at the edge of your hometown, to the car you had your first kiss in. And know - every one is a letter - every single song.
