Sylmar

A melting pot of stylistic nuance, honest ignorance and a wee bit of theoretical background, creates the slimy dreamy grit pop stoner jazz that encapsulates the Sylmar sound. A band of many tastes and many arguments, Sylmar's writing process is a bit like the wild things pitching—all over the place. A drum beat, a bass lick, a guitar melody or even a thoughtless yell can bring together a structured song, filled with time changes, false endings and crafty crescendos. After playing 50+ shows in 2016 and releasing their debut LP to a filled Woodward Theater in July, they plan to keep writing and playing music. It makes them happy!
