South Korean-Canadian artist and producer Jiwoo, formerly known as Hayake, is set to release his first full-length album later this year. Known for his atmospheric blend of alternative R&B, jazz, and experimental hip-hop, Jiwoo has garnered acclaim for his emotive soundscapes and introspective lyricism.

Jiwoo began his musical journey as Hayake, contributing as a DJ, rapper, and producer within South Korea’s underground hip-hop and R&B collective WYBH, alongside notable artists like Giriboy and DJ SQ. In 2019, he transitioned to his solo career under the name Jiwoo, signing with WAVY, the Seoul-based label founded by Colde. Since then, he has released five solo projects: Maison (2019), Antiriver (2020), Esprit (2021), Evergray (2022), and Afterimage (2024).

In 2024, Jiwoo expanded his international presence by joining Colde’s ‘BluePrint’ North America Tour as an opening act. Performing across major cities, Jiwoo introduced his unique sound to new audiences, further solidifying his reputation as a dynamic live performer.
