Carey Mercer (Frog Eyes)

Carey Mercer is a songwriter and musician, currently working on the unceded lands be​longing to the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səlil̓wətaʔɬ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations. Since 2001, Mercer has produced a steady stream of albums, releasing records under the names Soft Plastics, Frog Eyes, Blackout Beach, and Swan Lake. Mercer has published one book of essays and stories and had work published in McSweeney’s, The Talkhouse, and other various publications. Mercer is currently working on more music in the early and late hours of most days.
