Binks
Binks found solace and passion for electronic music at the young
age of 8. In her later years, attending live events completely
opened her eyes, sparking a real interest in DJing and music production.
With over 7 years of dedicated piano practice in her younger
years, music became an integral part of Binks’ life. She found
herself drawn to the art of electronic storytelling. Her
inspirations include Sebastien Leger, Roy Rosenfield, Sasha,
John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Kamilo Sanclemente, Rodriguez Jr, and Unders.
Binks’ musical inclination leans towards the realms of
progressive, deep, melodic, and organic house, seamlessly
blending genres to captivate and engage audiences. Her
meticulous track selection reflects her commitment to curating
experiences that resonate on an emotional level.
Opening for artists like Sasha, Spencer Brown, Shan Nash, and
Nico Morano marked significant milestones in her emerging
career, while participation in underground events across
Vancouver helped solidify her presence within the local scene.
Shortly after getting her 1st gig in December 2023, Binks was
invited to play twice at Shambhala Music Festival 2024.
Binks recently ventured into the realm of music production,
driven by a desire to contribute original tracks to the electronic
music scene. With aspirations of fostering a greater appreciation
for progressive house within the Canadian music community,
she aims to carve a distinctive niche in the scene.
Binks has an unwavering dedication to music and storytelling,
and will continue to evolve as an artist that takes people on a
journey with her music across Canada and beyond.
