Binks

Binks found solace and passion for electronic music at the young age of 8. In her later years, attending live events completely opened her eyes, sparking a real interest in DJing and music production.

With over 7 years of dedicated piano practice in her younger years, music became an integral part of Binks’ life. She found herself drawn to the art of electronic storytelling. Her inspirations include Sebastien Leger, Roy Rosenfield, Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Kamilo Sanclemente, Rodriguez Jr, and Unders.

Binks’ musical inclination leans towards the realms of progressive, deep, melodic, and organic house, seamlessly blending genres to captivate and engage audiences. Her meticulous track selection reflects her commitment to curating experiences that resonate on an emotional level. Opening for artists like Sasha, Spencer Brown, Shan Nash, and Nico Morano marked significant milestones in her emerging career, while participation in underground events across Vancouver helped solidify her presence within the local scene. Shortly after getting her 1st gig in December 2023, Binks was invited to play twice at Shambhala Music Festival 2024. Binks recently ventured into the realm of music production, driven by a desire to contribute original tracks to the electronic music scene. With aspirations of fostering a greater appreciation for progressive house within the Canadian music community, she aims to carve a distinctive niche in the scene. Binks has an unwavering dedication to music and storytelling, and will continue to evolve as an artist that takes people on a journey with her music across Canada and beyond.
